Popular Nigerian actresses Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi and Wumi Toriola have finally put an end to their seven-year-long public feud.
The reconciliation occurred on Sunday, December 21, 2025, when both actresses unexpectedly crossed paths at a cinema in Ikeja, Lagos State, while promoting their respective movie projects.
Toyin Abraham was at the cinema to promote her new film, Oversabi Aunty, while Wumi Toriola was there to promote Behind the Scenes, a movie produced by Funke Akindele in which she featured.
A video of the emotional moment, which has since gone viral on social media, showed the actresses warmly acknowledging each other. In the clip, Wumi was heard saying, “I miss you,” and asked Toyin to swear that she missed her as well. Toyin responded, “I miss you too,” before the duo embraced, drawing cheers from onlookers.
DAILY POST recalls that the actresses, who were once close friends, fell out after a series of public disagreements that spilled onto social media, forcing fans to take sides.
In 2017, Wumi Toriola accused Toyin Abraham of slapping her in a hotel room during the filming of Alakada Reloaded, warning her never to raise her hand against her again. The following year, Wumi further shaded Toyin online, accusing her of faking her engagement.
The feud resurfaced in 2023 when rumours emerged alleging that Wumi had a secret affair with Toyin Abraham’s husband. Reacting at the time, Wumi strongly denied the claims, describing them as “diabolical, evil, and intended to soil my name.”
The recent reconciliation has been widely celebrated by fans and colleagues, many of whom have expressed relief that the long-standing rift between the two actresses has finally been resolved.
