Nigerian philanthropist and senator, Prince Ned Nwoko, has once again set social media buzzing with his bold remarks on marriage and polygamy.
In a recent interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the Delta North lawmaker said he genuinely pities men who have only one wife, likening monogamy to “standing on one leg.”
According to him, having multiple wives brings balance, stability, and structure to a man’s life.
“I feel sorry for those who have one wife. Just imagine standing on one leg—it’s difficult. But with two, three, or four, you’re more balanced,” he said confidently.
Nwoko, who is known for his polygamous lifestyle, explained that his beliefs are rooted in faith and culture, stressing that even the Old Testament supports men having more than one wife.
He further argued that polygamy could help reduce social issues such as prostitution and loneliness among women, insisting that it promotes care and responsibility when practiced properly.
