The All Progressives Congress, or APC, Lagos State Chapter on Thursday took note of the latest tirade by Phrank Shaibu, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, regarding what he called a "pardon U-turn" by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Shaibu emphasized that the statement is just another "cocktail of ignorance, frustration, and political bitterness from a camp desperate for attention."
It urged Atiku's supporters to refrain from using ignorance as a weapon, pointing out that Tinubu's leadership is governed by the law rather than feelings.
The state chapter of the party's spokesperson, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, told the former vice president's camp that "leadership is not noise but responsibility."

President Tinubu bases his choices on due process, the rule of law, and the interests of the country, in contrast to the opposition's tendency toward rash and ignorant remarks.
"Informed assessment and reconsideration, not weakness, are indicators of credible leadership and institutional development in modern democracies.
"Consultation and constitutional refinement only translate into a 'U-turn' in the narrow corners of the opposition's imagination," he remarked.

Oladejo maintained that desperate politics is not what Nigeria deserves.
The Nigerian people are tired of this childish, resentful politics, where good administration choices are disparaged for the sake of creating a stir.
Instead of caving in to passion or theatrics on social media, President Tinubu is fortifying institutions. Small-time politicians complain while serious leaders create.
We implore Nigerians to disregard the most recent media outbursts coming from the corner of a defeated politician. Instead of the resentment and perplexity that have come to characterize individuals who are repeatedly turned away from elections, President Tinubu will continue to govern with constitutional discipline, bravery, and clarity of purpose.
"No amount of political outbursts will alter the fact that Nigeria is progressing," he continued.
