(Read) Coc@ine bound for the UK NDLEA found the cream containers

 


Three suspects were detained in a series of follow-up operations throughout Lagos after National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) agents discovered 70 packages of cocaine factory packed in walls of cocoa butter formula body cream containers bound for London, United Kingdom, at the export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja.


According to a statement from the anti-drug agency spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the 3.60 kg cocaine shipments were found on October 14, 2025, when cargoes packed as personal things were being examined aboard an Air Peace flight headed to London, UK.

“” After two weeks of investigations, two main suspects connected to the effort to export the concealed Class A narcotic to the UK were apprehended, while cargo agent Lawal Mustapha Olakunle, who delivered the item for airfreight, was immediately taken into custody.

Following the arrest of Ogunmuyide Taiwo Deborah, a female healthcare worker, in a follow-up operation on October 18, Mutiu Adebayo Adebiyi, the CEO of a travel agency, Mutiu Adebiyi & Co., was taken into custody on Monday, October 20, at his office located at 23 Ladoke Akintola Street, Ikeja GRA Lagos, the statement read.


In a related development, on Wednesday, October 22, NDLEA officers arrested 35-year-old Lemena Mark of Lesotho and seized 103.59 grams of methamphetamine that was hidden in a diabetes herbs coffee tea pack and was being exported to the Philippines on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from the Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA) in Enugu.
