Claims of a 2-kilometer airstrip in Argungu woodland have been refuted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, or NDLEA, which called the widely shared video artificial intelligence (AI) developed.
Investigations showed that the airport, forest, and people depicted in the video did not exist, Rabiu A. Sokoto, the NDLEA Kebbi State Commander, told reporters in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
"We ordered our officers to look into the airport and the forest that was allegedly used to transport cocaine in Argungu, but we didn't find anything," Sokoto stated.

"The video is misleading the public and causing needless alarm," he continued.
Ahmed Yakubu, the commissioner of information for Kebbi State, also denounced the film, claiming it was politically driven and spiteful.
He said it was meant to undermine the state government and asked citizens to ignore it.
